Natural Conditions

he geographical location of Baiyun district is 106.32¡¯ to 106.48¡¯E longitude and 26.38¡¯ to 26.49¡¯ N latitude, inside of Guiyang city, Rolling hills cover most of the and. The elevation averages 1,3000m with a relative difference of about 480m, The rivers running through this district, mainly the Maijia and Shatao, belong to the pearl River System that eventually drains into the Yangtze River. Baiyun enjoys a warm and humid subtropical climate with both alpine and monsoon characteristics concurrently. The average annual temperature is about 14¡æ with a high of 33¡æ and a low of 7¡æ, the frost-free period is about 270 days; yearly precipitation is 1,200 mm; sunshine time is 1,350 hours and relative humidity is above 77%.

Administrative Units and Population

Huitong High-Tech Science Park: includes Southern Huitong stock Limited Company and Dula County. Here, the focus is on electronic information technology, mechanical electrical integration, light electronics integration, and new materials, It is intended as a base for new and high-tech production and exporting.

Guiyang (International) New Materials Industrial Park: located at Maijia county and Dasha Road, mainly develops building materials, new materials, mechanical manufacture, chemical products and light processed products.

Shawen Industrial Park: located at Shawen County, beween Baisha Road and Guizun highway, mainly develops non-ferrous metals, metallurgy, machinery.
