a Long, the door of the east of Gui Zhou province, is located on 108°34′-109°09′,east longitude, and 27°08′- 27°31′north latitude, bordered on the west of Hu Nan province, the zone connecting the south west and the middle south, the window and the bridgehead of connecting the east as for Gui Zhou omni bearing development strategy. It is both one of the one hundred focal point of first batch-constructed towns and the exemplary region of the cooperation between eastern and western township enterprises all over the country. It was approved to be Da Long development region in August 1992, upgraded provincial economic development region in July 1999,and the industry region of Tong Ren Area in the year of 2001. It plans that focal point of constructing area is 25 square kilometers. It can be divided into four parts, including eastern business zone, middle storehouse zone, western industry zone and northern daily life zone, and whose industry zone consists of chemical industry, smelting industry, aluminum and magnesium industry, manganese industry, and light industry and food industry small zone. Chang Sha City and Huai Hua City lie on the east to Da Long, 600kilometers and 110kilometers respectively, on the west to which is Gui Yang, provincial capital city, 360kilometers,on the south to which Gui Lin lies, 500kilometers, on the north to which is Chong Qing. It is 60kilometers from Da Long to Da Xin airport of Tong Ren, which is joined up with high grade highways, and through which Xiang Qian Railway line, Yu Tong high grade highway, national road 320 (the Shang Rui expressway) and provincial road 201 cross. Da Long railway station being the opening station of Cheng Du railway and Guang Zhou railway bureau, it is the distributing center of goods and materials for five areas, seventeen counties and the three provinces including Hu Nan, Gui Zhou and Si Chuan. In the mean time, the distance between the region and the outsides has been reduced due to Da Xin airport so that the grade transportation network has been gradually formed, which contains railroads, airlines, national main road line and local highway.

In Da Long, yearly flow of the Wu Yang He River being 128 cubic meters per second, water resources are so plentiful that the tap water project is being constructed, which is capable of supplying water 10,000tons per day.
