The
Huangguoshu Waterfalls
he
Huangguoshu Waterfalls are on the Baishui
River, within the boundries of Zheng-ning
County, 137 km from the provincal capital,
Guiyang. It consists of waterfalls, water-Curtaln
Cave and the Rhinoceros Pool, seven-four meters
high, eight-one meters wide. The waterfall
varies its appearance with the season. When
summer comes, it looks like the Milky Way
falling down with the force a thousand horses
galloping in June, July when there is plenty
of rainfall. During the dry season the waterfall
resembles silk with thousands of silver strands.
A 134-meter-long Water-curtain Cave is composed
of five halls, six windows. It is amazing
to watch through the cave windows the water
flying down wads. In the cave, you can hear
a great roar and see white falling water outslde
it . There is green deep pool with splashing
water droplets from rising from here.
In this area, there are
18 falls forming together a cluster of cataracts,
when seeing you can¡¯t help feeling fascinated
by its beauty.
The
Dragon Palace

Dragon Palace, 122km from Guiyang, it mainly
includes various water caves, cave waterfall,
land caves and forms an integration of hills,
water, lake, cave, waterfall. Its strange
krast cave is one of typical karst landforms
in China even in the world, as result of erosion
to soluable rock by flowing water. In six
halls open to tourists, you can see strange
stones with different shape. The maximum height
of the hall is 80 odd m, the maximum width
30 odd m inside it. The Dragon Palace can
only be toured in a boat in Its narrowest
area.
The
Zhijin Cave

Zhijin Cave is 151km from Guiyang, called

It is about 12km long. A developed cave of
6000m includes eight parts with 47 galleries
inside. The total area is over 700000 m2.

the main kinds found in karst caves all over
the world. The zhijing Cave is grand. Standing
on the entrance and overlooking, you can see
an enormous relief consisting of innumerable
stalagmite, stone curtain, stalacto-stalagmite,

The
Hongfeng Lake
ocated
in the Hepingba County of Qingzheng City,
the hongfeng Lake is the largest artificial
lake in Guizhou with an area of 57 km2, ten
times as large as the West Lake in Hangzhou.
With wide and deep water it is surrounded
by green hills. On the lake you can see yachts
running back and forth. This is a new scenic
spot under the special protection of the state.
The Hongfeng Lake is composed
fo the North, the South and the Rear Lakes.
The North Lake is known for its islands,
the South Lake is famous for its karst cave
and the Rear Lake is characterized by many
branches of the river.
The intricate combination
of lake, the islands, the hills and caves
forms a pictures of unique beauty.
There are three national
villages by the lake where you can see a
Dong¡¯s Drum Tower, Yi¡¯s Stone house and

Wuyang River

wuyang River scenic spots are distributed
in Zhengyuan, Shibing and Huangping Counties,
covering an area of 625 km2, It mainly consists
of the Wuyang Three Gorges, the natural scenic

historic cultural town. The Wuyang Three gorges
are characterized by grotesque cliffs and
green water. The Mt of Yutai consists of ridges
and peaks with fantastic karst landscapes.

is one of the most famous historical towns
in the state and is noted for its ancient
culture of over 2000 years. There is an ancient
building group of the black dragon cave by
water and Mt. In the town. The features of
the scenic spot also include hillside pile
dwelling, temple, etc.
The
Shizhangdong Fall Waterfall Group Scenic Spot
of Chishui

on the southeast of Chishui City, the waterfall
Group is another large type waterfall scenic
spotin Guizhou, 80 meters high and 76 meters
wide. The evergreen broadleaf trees are seen
here with a large area. There are also rare
animal such as tigers, leopards, river deer,

landform, lush tropical and subtropical plants
covering the river sides forms a special magnificent,
precipitous and beautiful scence.
There are 18 beaches, 20
bends, 30 ponds and more than 60 watewfalls
with grand fall in the valley. Floating
down steam by boat along the floating route
with a length of 12km, you will see picturesque
scenery.
The
Zhangjiang Scenic Spot
Zhangjiang
Scenic Spot lies in Libo County of South Guizhou,
covering an area of 201 km2. It is a rarely-seen
surviving krast virgin forest in the subtropical
zone along the same latitude, and characterized
by its wildness, peculiarity and beauty. An
inter-section of rivers, lakes, waterfalls
can be found here. Xiaoqikong is a typical
scenic spot covered with verdant woods and
grasses and has various trees with strange
roots. Here is a marvelous scenic combination
of clear streams and lakes, green hills, trees
and fantastic caves.
You may catch sight of trees
growing on rocks with their roots twining
together in rock crack.
