The
Central Tourist Route for its Idyllic Scenery
uiyang
is known as Gui for short. It is the provincial
tourist center. The tourism advantage of Guiyang
has been formed by typically developed karst
landform, simple and colorful ethnic customs,
ancient cultural relics and pleasant climate.
There
are as many as 20-odd scenic spots in the
city, for example, Qianling Park, Forest Park,
Huaxi Park, Lake Baihua, etc. With the development
of tourist resources, Guiyang will become
a holiday destination integrated with natural
landscapes, historical relics and ethnic customs.
The
Western Tourist Route for its Fantastic Landform
he
west route is well-known for its karst scenes.
In an area of scores of kilometers, there
gather five national scenic areas of Huangguoshu
Waterfalls noted across the world, mysterious
Dragon Palace, picturesque Lake Hongfeng,
underground Zhijin Cave and deep Malinghe
Valley, as well as some other provincial ones.
The transportation is easy and convenient.
Peculiar mountains, rivers, forests, stones
and caves appear here and there linked by
the high-grade highway of Guiyang-Huangguoshu.
The tourist
facilities are satisfactory. The climate is
pleasant for tourists to travel all year round.
This route stretches westwards to the Stone
Forest and Kunming in Yunnan, and Nanning
in Guiangxi.
The
Northwestern Tourist Route for its Specialty
here
are a few splendid wonders in the northwestern
part of Guizhou. The Zhijin Cave is regarded
as the underground artistic treasure. It demonstrates
all morphological differences of global caves.
The original azalea forest in the largest
area in China grows between the counties of
Dafang Lake and Qianxi, stretching more than
50km. The Caohai Lake in Weining County has
a circumference of 45 km2, where it is one
of the ten places for man and bird getting
on in a harmonious way.
The
Northern Tourist Route for its History and
Culture
he
features of the north route are the Long March
culture left by the Chinese Red Army and the
liquor culture. This route begins from Guiyang,
passes Xifeng, Zunyi, Renhuai to Chishui,
and extends to Chongqing and Luzhou. Along
the route, there is a national scenic area,
a national nature reserve, and a national
famous city for history and culture.
The
Eastern Tourist Route for its Ethnic Customs
entered
on Kaili, the capital of the Qiandongnan Prefecture,
the east route is divided into two for enjoyment
of the Miao¡¯s and the Dong¡¯s living styles,
ethnic architecture and the beauty of Mt.
Miaoling. One leads to southeast direction,
starting from Kaili, passing counties of Leishan,
Rongjiang, Congjiang, Liping and extending
to Sanjiang and Guilin in Guangxi; another
travels from Shibin County to counties of
Zhenyuan, Shiqian, Jiangkou and Tongren City,
reaches Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province.
There are
some places worth visiting on the east route.
They are the Wuyang River, a state-level scenic
area, Mt. Fanjing, a state-level nature reserve,
Zhenyuan, the national famous city for its
history and culture, and the Zengchong Drum
Tower, a national protection for key relics.
More than twenty ethnic minorities live around
this area. They have over eighty different
costumes and ornaments. 135 ethnic festivals
will be celebrated in a year.
A visitor
can have a tour here and appreciate historical
traces from dynasties of Han and Ji, hairdressing
style in Tang dynasty, clothes worn by people
during the period of Song, and building patterns
in the dynasties of Ming and Qing. The hospitable
Miao or Dong people will meet visitors with
gate or path blocking wine.
The
Southern Tourist Route for its Peaceful Forest
he
south route goes down from Guiyang, Duyun
to Libo County, downwards further to Guangxi.
Centered on the Zhangjiang river system and
Maolan primitive forest on karst landform,
this route is mainly for enjoying karst primitive
forest and ethnic customs of the Buyi and
Yao. There is one national-level scenic areas
and one nature reserve at state level. The
tourist environment is favorable.
