National-Level Economic and Technical Development
Zone of Guiyang was approved by the State
Council as a national development zone whose
planned area is 11.32 km2 . The zone was readjusted
by the ministry of Science and Technology
and Guiyang municipal People’s Government
in 2000. After the adjustment, the zone is
composed of oue zone, two parks and one Street,
namely, Jinyang Industrial Park of Science
and Technology, Xintian Industrial Park and
Shenqi Science Steet. The planned area of
Xintian Industrial Park is 7.3 km2, of which
4 km2 has been developed.
Transportation

in the northeast part of Guiyang, the park is
6 km from the city center, 9 km from Longdongdao
international airport, 12 km from the passenger
railway station, and 5 km from Dulaying freight
railway station. The transportation in the park
is convenient. Passing through the park, Chongqing-Beihai
expressway is a key land transportation corridor
linking Guiyang and Sichuan, Chongqing, Guangzhou
and Guangxi.

of international mail express, letter and package,
rail express is dealt with in the park. The
installed capacity of telecommunication is 50000
lines, which is connected with the Guiyang municipal
network.

of Electricity and water

over 200 million yuan were put into infrastructure
facilities for building or expanding street
connecting the city center, Power, water plant,
network of water supply and drainage, etc. There
are two substations with a capacity of 5.5 mva
for power supply and Yunjin water Plant with

have been moved and set up in the park. 180

with contracted capital of 3.5 billion yuna

yuan. The total number of enterprise comes to
266 including 49 hitech enterprises. Four pillar
industries have initially been formed, that
is, electronic information, optic-machinery-electricity,
new materials and biomedicine. The employees
in the park are as many as 20000 including 11000
engineers and technicians. The quality of work
force is good and the level of management is
high. The strength of R & D is satisfactory.
The products from the park earn foreign currency
and sell well in 88 countries and regions such
as the USA, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong
and So on.
